Every great book begins with a preface, but this blog begins with a few explanations. You may ask yourself, "who is Pong?" Well, he is me, and I am Matt Metcalf. So logically, Pong is Matt Metcalf. I am a recent college graduate who has been really struggling with the fact that that I have have little real world work experience. However, I have recently been lucky enough to snag a part time job which will pay the bills and give me enough time to work on my projects and blogs. (Pong is a nick name that has given me a very modest amount of internet notoriety so I felt it was an apt name to use here.)
I have had a blogger account for several years now, but have not used it for its full potential. Now I am changing that. I hope to keep up a personal blog (this one) and other blogs more specifically detailing current projects I am working on. Think of it as a way to trick myself into being more productive. Also, being the starving artist I am, I had to give up my internet access in my studio apartment to save some cash every month. Now I find myself going the local Starbucks to check my email and other internet related business. This makes it look like I am working on something and perhaps justify the fact that I don't by anything here...
Lets just hope a lot of interesting stuff happens to me so I have things to actually write about.
